摘要: We have observed the effects of exposure to aqueous transition metal cations freshly prepared, and thermally aged, layered double hydroxides (LDHs) type Mg2Al(OH)6Cl·xH2O. For M(II) = Co(II), Ni(II), or Zn(II), prepared material undergoes complete reconstitution give products composition (M(II)Mg)2Al(OH)6Cl, while aged LDH surface adsorption a small amount cations. Infrared spectroscopy shows that former represents distinct phase, different from both parent M(II)2Al(OH)6Cl, which we for comparison. The same appears true Mn(II), although facile air oxidation complicates picture. With Cu(II), as might be expected its high acidity, more extensive changes occur with destruction lattice. results types suggest significant difference in reaction pathways.
