摘要: Background: It is unclear whether cardiovascular fitness influences risk factors for coronary artery disease and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus independently of level body fat because often measured in tasks that involve moving weight (eg, running) are correlated. Objective: To measure during a task which was controlled experimentally (ie, supine cycling). Design: Cross-sectional. Participants: Seventy-four children, 7 to 13 years age, recruited through school flyers newspaper advertisements, varying from 7% 61%. There were 31 boys 43 girls; 35 white 39 black. Main Independent Variables: Cardiovascular expressed as submaximal heart rate while cycling at power output 49 W, with dual x-ray absorptiometry. Outcome Measures: Blood pressure levels triglycerides, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein low-density insulin, glucose, glycohemoglobin. Results: Controlling age sex, significantly ( P r =0.32), triglycerides =0.42), cholesterol = −0.31), insulin =0.50), ratio =0.37); not correlated any the other variables. Conclusions: When weight-independent task, it related or major non–insulin-dependent factors. In addition, we confirmed previous findings higher associated very unfavorable profile.
