摘要: OBJECTIVES Evaluation of asthma control using the Asthma Control Test (ACT). METHODS The ACT was used to assess among patients with bronchial visiting pulmonary clinics in 5 major tertiary care hospitals Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. Each hospital had a target 300 recruit over period study from 1st September 30th November 2006. RESULTS total number studied 1,060 patients. Males constituted 442 (42%) and females 618 (58%), median age 38.56 years (range 15-75). One third no formal education. The score revealed uncontrolled 677 (64%), well-controlled 328 (31%), complete controlled 55 (5%). There are significant correlations between below 40 above level (p=0.12). However, younger group less than 20 better comparison older (p=0.0001). correlation gender, males (44%) (30%) (p=0.0001). CONCLUSIONS Control is still concern our population. Further studies needed explore factors leading poor control.
