摘要: L-Amino acid oxidases (LAAOs), which catalyze the stereospecific oxidative deamination of L-amino acids to α-keto and ammonia, are flavin adenine dinucleotide-containing homodimeric proteins. widely distributed in diverse organisms have a range properties. Because expressing LAAOs as recombinant proteins heterologous hosts is difficult, their biotechnological applications not been thoroughly advanced. thought contribute amino catabolism, enhance iron acquisition, display antimicrobial activity, keto production, among other roles. Here, we review types, properties, structures, biological functions, expression, obtained from microbial sources. We expect this increase interest LAAO studies.
