Maturation-associated increase in sensitivity of cultured guinea pig gastric pit cells to hydrogen peroxide.

摘要: Guinea pig gastric pit cells in primary culture undergo serum-dependent cell maturation, which mimics their maturation vivo. In this study we compared the sensitivities of these cells, as a function early- and late-stage to various stressors. Gastric early stage (two days culture) were more resistant apoptotic death induced by exposure hydrogen peroxide than those (three culture). This maturation-associated difference was not observed for necrotic peroxide, nor other stressors (ethanol hydrochloric acid). The activities catalase glutathione peroxidase specifically decreased at late stage. relative phenotype sensitivity may be due decrease peroxidase, are antioxidants peroxide.
