摘要: Liver DNA was labeled in a group of weanling Fischer-344 male rats by placing mini-osmotic pumps, loaded with [methyl-3H]thymidine, under the dorsal skin for 14 days. The animals were then placed on either choline-supplemented or choline-devoid diet, and subgroups each diet killed after 1, 2, 4, 8 16 weeks. total specific radioactivities determined all rats. results used to estimate half-life (t1/2) liver cells, fractional rates cell death (Kd) proliferation (Kp). In fed control cells estimated die at an overall Kd 0.16% per day, have t1/2 439.5 days; Kp higher younger than older ranging from 4.82 down 0.93% as length feeding period increased; corresponding t1/2S 14.3 74.6 these rats, more sufficient compensate loss. show that liver-cell represents major consequence necrogenic action is factor responsible highly increased turnover present animals.
