摘要: With the aim to investigate a possibility of supporting conservation Lithuanian indigenous pigs (LIW) their external body and carcass measurements were compared with wild boar (WB) hybrids see whether crossing can improve quality pork, which in purebreds is inferior other breeds. Depending on proportion WB crosses (1/4 or 1/2) purebred respectively 3.2 cm 4.3 shorter at withers (P<0.05). Correspondingly, hind feet 1/4 1/2 genotypes 1.8 2.2 longer (P<0.05) whereas ear length was by 1.9 3.0 hybrid pigs. LIW tended have snouts than (0.05
