摘要: The prevalence and in vitro antimicrobial sensitivity of isolates enteric rods pseudomonads was examined 844 adult periodontitis patients. These organisms were recovered from 13.5% the study subjects. Ciprofloxacin exhibited highest inhibitory activity 14 oral agents tested. Beta-lactam antibiotics largely ineffective, tetracycline failed to inhibit most Pseudomonas species. In data suggest that a subgingival microbiota comprising mainly streptococci would result therapy combined ciprofloxacin metronidazole. Since may growth several putative periodontal pathogens, populations "beneficial" pocket might constitute very attractive therapeutic outcome. Controlled clinical studies are needed clarify possible role treatment destructive periodontitis.
