摘要: This study examines a case of the Rarakau Rainforest Conservation Project on Māori-owned land in western Southland – New Zealand's first and only REDD+ project. It explores potential for projects Māori throughout country. Key findings show that is technically feasible Zealand, but commercially dependent (currently low) demand domestic retail carbon offset ‘corporate social responsibility’ market. Market research suggests there sufficient to cater needs small number projects, insufficient roll out nation-wide scheme.
