摘要: Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) is an ambitious global programme oriented towards improving forest carbon management. It aims to attract new sources of ‘green’ capital fund emissions reductions avoided deforestation sustainable REDD+ transforming conservation, as a diverse array stakeholders become involved. Not surprisingly, has proved divisive, critics concern themselves with issues power, justice, commodification, while practice-oriented researchers tackle similar different perspectives, focusing on benefit sharing, safeguards, additionality, measuring verification. In this paper we explore the roles critical practical research, argue that there need for greater sharing knowledge across current divides. We draw our own experiences conducting research project in Indonesia involved researchers. disconnected matters can have perverse outcomes practitioners who are ultimately working goals; uncritical potential lead dilution core values environmental justice conservation. contrast, forms critique provide ways researching value maintaining insights.
