摘要: Two full-scale slow sand filters (SSFs) were sampled periodically from April until November 2011 to study the spatial and temporal structures of bacterial communities found in filters. To monitor global changes microbial communities, DNA samples taken at different depths locations within SSFs ages was used for Illumina 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Additionally, 15 water quality parameters monitored assess filter performance, with functionally relevant members being identified by using multivariate statistics. The diversity be much larger than previously documented, community composition shaped characteristics (filter age depth) sampling (month, side, distance influent effluent pipes). We that several key genera (Acidovorax, Halomonas, Sphingobium, Sphingomonas) associated performance. In addition, whole-community level, a strong positive correlation between species evenness This is first comprehensively characterize link specific microbes parameters. doing so, we reveal patterns structure relate overall function.
