摘要: Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance Schisandra chinensis ( S. ), a traditional Chinese medicine, has been widely used as sedatives and tonics in clinic. lignans are believed to be the major bioactive components . However, there is lack of information about effects gender repeated-dose on pharmacokinetic properties schisandra lignans. Aim study The was performed investigate influence pharmacokinetics after administration extract compare their behaviors between single multiple administration. Materials methods Two groups rats (half male half female) were received dose or doses extract, respectively. A liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method developed validated determine plasma concentrations Results parameters schisandrin, schisandrol B, deoxyschisandrin, γ -schisandrin schisantherin significantly different by difference. t 1/2 all tested female 2–9 times longer than corresponding values rats. C max AUC 0−t these except 5–50 higher those profiles deoxyschisandrin both similar profile dose. Conclusion All showed slower elimination bioavailability compared with Their not affected -schisandrin, which eliminated more slowly
