摘要: The objective of this study is to determine (1) the effect different resin-removal methods on shear bond strength (SBS) rebonded brackets, (2) condition enamel surface, (3) time spent remove resin remnants, and (4) location failure. A total 80 premolars were included in study. Fifty them divided into five groups bonded using Light Bondtrade mark sealant Quick Curetrade adhesive. Ten samples debonded, SBS first debonding was calculated. Forty brackets debonded pliers examined by an optical microscope (16x) failure interface, a modified Adhesive Remnant Index (ARI). remnant adhesives cleaned with four methods: low-speed tungsten-carbide bur (TCB), high-speed TCB, Sof-Lex finishing disks, microetcher. rebonded, second set ARI values calculated statistically evaluated. Thirty receiving same scanning electron microscope. Rebonded teeth had greater than initial bonding, except group 4. similar 1-3, only 4 showed statistical difference. Sof-lex discs most time-consuming procedures left much adhesive remnant. TCB found be hazardous enamel. scarring after inevitable but can reduced.
