摘要: Abstract Background Assisted reproductive technologies include in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). It has been shown that embryos derived from ART have higher rates of aneuploidy. Although the majority pregnancies are genetically normal, it is suspected aneuploid may persist as mosaics lead to confined placental mosaicism (CPM). Due greater risks aneuploidy in infertile men, CPM be more prevalent ICSI than IVF pregnancies. In this report, we investigated prevalence using comparative genomic hybridization flow cytometry. Methods The placenta umbilical cord blood were collected after birth. To determine presence CPM, karyotypes compared results analyses. For each placenta, multiple villous sites for DNA gains/losses polyploidy Detected abnormalities further confirmed by fluorescent in-situ (FISH). Results total, 134 IVF/ICSI cases investigated. was detected five these (5/134) giving an overall rate 3.73%. one case (1/31; 3.23%) four (4/103; 3.88%). not statistically different other. observed 13 6 determined small gestational age (SGA). Conclusions addition, (IVF ICSI) similar general population. limited affected age. Our suggest at a risk CPM.
