摘要: In this paper, we provide a saturation throughput analysis of the IEEE 802.11 protocol at data link layer by including impact both transmission channel and capture effects in Rayleigh fading environment. Impacts non-ideal effects, specially an environment high interference, become important terms actual observed throughput. As far as 4-way handshaking mechanism is concerned, extend multi-dimensional Markovian state transition model characterizing behavior MAC states that account for packet failures due to errors caused propagation through channel. This way, any physical medium can be accommodated, AWGN channels. We also Markov order consider contention window when employing basic 2-way mechanism. Under usual assumptions regarding traffic generated per node independence collisions, solve stationary probabilities chain develop expressions function number terminals, sizes, raw error rates, probability, other key system parameters. The theoretical derivations are then compared simulation results confirming effectiveness proposed models.
