摘要: We sequenced the genome of Raoultella ornithinolytica strain Marseille-P1025 that caused a rare case prosthetic joint infection in 67-year-old immunocompetent male. The 6.7-Mb exhibited genomic island (RoGI) was unique among R. strains. RoGI likely acquired by lateral gene transfer from member Pectobacterium genus and coded for type IVa secretion system found other pathogenic bacteria may have conferred an increased virulence. Strain also able to infect, multiply within, kill Acanthamoaeba castellanii amoebae.
