摘要: BACKGROUND: Primary tumors of the spinal cord, meninges, and cauda equina are relatively rare, a paucity population-based data exist on in these sites. This study intends to augment current literature by examining incidence national level. METHODS: Data from central cancer registries National Program Cancer Registries (NPCR) Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results (SEER) programs for 2004-2007 (covering 99.2% US population) 1999-2007 89.4% were analyzed. Analyses diagnosis years included cases malignant nonmalignant primary tumors. Descriptive statistics including estimated age-adjusted rates standardized 2000 standard population conducted both diagnosed during as well trend analyses (n = 5103) using SEER*Stat 6.6.2 software.
