摘要: Previous research suggests that stepparenting can be stressful, although the mechanisms contribute to experience of parenting stress in stepfamilies are less clear. This study examines gender, marital quality, and views about gendered family roles as correlates among 310 stepmothers, stepfathers, biological mothers fathers. Findings suggest stepparents, especially higher levels than parents. also traditional dyadic adjustment associated with lower for particularly combination. Stepparents reporting both these protective factors were indistinguishable terms from These findings indicate potential pathways mitigate stepparenting.
