摘要: Emission of thermal light from a hot body has been considered for long time as broadband and quasi-isotropic. Today, we know that this paradigm is wrong it shown many micro- nanostructured materials are able to radiate in narrow spectral bands around specific directions space. However, so far, only heuristic strategies based on trial error have followed engineering such sources. Here, present general method the ab initio design coherent sources by using first principles optics. Our results pave way toward inverse new composite emitting structures high performance applications
