摘要: Linear model theory is used to find exact confidence intervals for wind components from radial speeds observed using a VHF Doppler radar. The also evaluate direction. However, can only be found where the errors in two estimated horizontal speed are equal. Thus, general case, Taylor expansion has give approximate speeds. It shown that irrespective of vector, mean interval components, or volume minimized by radar beams with largest off-vertical angles. there no optimal sounding strategy measurement direction defined before making any measurements.
