摘要: Abstract The short-term movements of a small temperate fish, the annular seabream Diplodus annularis (Linnaeus 1758), were examined using standard tag-recapture and passive acoustic telemetry in Palma Bay (NW Mediterranean), marine protected area (MPA). study aimed to provide valuable information for assessing recreational fishery its results suggest that MPAs can be used protect adult stock D. annularis . All fish tagged with tags recaptured near release locations, maximum distance ∼300 m. time between recapture was 185 d. Two different arrays receivers deployed, one 2008 another 2009, within MPA. Twenty adults surgically transmitters. Fish monitored ( n = 12) translocated from point capture analyse movement behaviour after artificial displacement. Upon at displaced 67% moved towards original location return ranged 0.75 15.25 h. 2009 = 8) released capture. They showed high site fidelity period 27 d first last they detected.
