摘要: Objectives/Hypothesis: The objective was to determine clinical features and outcomes for pediatric thyroid carcinoma. Study Design: Cross-sectional analysis of national cancer database. Methods: Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results database (1988–2000) surveyed, extracting all cases carcinoma. Clinical including age, gender, tumor type, size, nodal disease, treatment modality, survival variables were retrieved. Kaplan-Meier conducted actuarial according histological type. Cox regression prognostic factors affecting in carcinoma. Results: In all, 566 carcinoma extracted the time period. Mean patient age at presentation 16.0 years, with a female predominance (84.8%). There 378 papillary carcinoma, 137 follicular variant 51 average size 2.6 cm, 37.1% patients presented positive disease. Overall excellent mean survivals greater than 145 months each Follicular exhibited slightly poorer that statistically significant (P = .017) Conclusion: Pediatric primarily affects girls. are similar those adults However, overall is excellent, few dying
