A Modified Allium Test as a Tool in the Screening of the Genotoxicity of Complex Mixtures

摘要: A modified protocol for the Allium test with regard to usually observed microscopic parameters is presented. In three different experiments, root cells were exposed methyl methanesulfonate (10 and 15 μg/1), nondiluted waste water from a slaughter-house dye-house (the last one without any genotoxic effect). proposed scoring method only anaphase early telophase are (100 per onion), bridges, fragments, vagrants scored pooled as chromosome aberrations. This of compared where metaphase, anaphase, normal vagrants, c-mitoses, sticky chromosomes classified separately in these aberration categories. Using X2-test it shown that more sensitive, having higher levels significance than commonly used method. It recommended use an easy sensitive screening complex mixtures genotoxicity.
