摘要: There is substantial and unexplored potential for scientists to engage with the private sector a sustainable ocean. The importance of such cooperation frequent emphasis international dialogues statements, it embedded within Sustainable Development Goals, has been championed by prominent business leaders scientists. But an uncritical embrace science-industry collaboration unhelpful, candid reflections on benefits pitfalls that marine can expect from actively engaging are rare. In this Perspective, we draw our collective experiences working ocean industries in different parts world reflect how influenced work, effects these collaborations have generated, barriers overcome partnerships become more common. doing so, hope help empower new generation explore industry as way develop scale up solutions sustainability.
