摘要: Abstract We report two new chromium chalcogenides Cr(en)3SbSe4 and Cr(en)2AsSe3 which were obtained by solvothermal reactions at 170 °C. adopts the tetragonal space group P42bc with isolated [Cr(en)3]3+ ions [SbSe4]3− tetrahedrons. is a molecular crystal monoclinic P21/n. It has [Cr(en)2Se2]− octahedrons [AsSe3]3− triangle cones are edge shared Se atoms. band gap of 2.3 eV, whereas displays multiple-absorption characters absorption edges 1.7 2.2 eV, respectively. Remarkably, Curie-Weiss paramagnet between 2 300 K an effective magnetic moment 3.98 μB, potential magneto-caloric material -ΔSm = 16.3 J (kg K)−1 at 4 K ΔH = 8 T. shows antiferromagnetism below 9 K.
