Systematic evaluation of the randomized controlled trials about acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of allergic rhinitis

摘要: OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of acupuncture moxibustion treatment for allergic rhinitis to analyze present situation researches. METHODS A search in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Chinese Biology Medicine (CBM) disk, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases was performed gather randomized controlled trials about rhinitis, identify additional met inclusion criteria measure their qualities by using Reviewers' Handbook 5.0. Statistical analysis carried out RevMan 4.2.8. RESULTS meta-analysis on a total 1076 patients involved 12 papers which criteria. There were significant differences both cure rate (Incorporate RR = 1.86, 95% CI 1.51, 2.29, Z 5.82, P < 0.00001) marked improvement 1.58, 1.32, 1.89, 4.94, between routine medicine rhinitis. CONCLUSION Acupuncture treat is effective safe may have certain advantage over treatment. However, as low quality partial literatures, no definite conclusion can be obtained yet it still waits higher researches further prove dominance
