摘要: A 2 × single-mode thermo-optic waveguide switch fabricated on a glass substrate is reported. The device uses zero-gap directional-coupler configuration with heater electrode to increase the index of refraction by use effect. With an interaction length 6 mm and using 0.63-μm He–Ne laser light, experiences complete switchover light from straight-through channel crossed at electrical drive power 0.25 W under quasi-steady-state condition 0.67 pulsed 800 μs in pulse width. response independent polarization insensitive ambient temperature.
