摘要: Radiation therapy is used as a treatment for malignant brain tumors not only in adult cases but also children. Conventional radiotherapy effective certain kinds of tumor. However, irradiation small children especially those less than 5 years old, associated with marked side effects including sequelae such mental retardation, hormonal deficiency, and bone marrow suppression which may appear up to several after the treatment. Boron neutron capture (BNCT) based on nuclear reaction between boron-10 thermal neutrons 2.3). The occurs mainly tumor cells alpha particles produced from kill cells4). Normal around receive little radiation effect. BNCT can therefore be considered an intracellular internal ideal 12).
