摘要: Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor ACEI-induced angioedema of the intestine is a rare occurrence and often unrecognized complication ACEI. We present case 45-year-old Hispanic female with small bowel progressing to facial oral pharyngeal angioedema. Patients are typically middle-aged females on ACEI therapy who emergency department abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. This diagnosis exclusion, physicians must have high index suspicion make diagnosis. Symptoms resolve within 24–48 hours after ACE withdrawal. Recognizing these signs symptoms, discontinuing medication, can save patient from unnecessary, costly, invasive procedures.
