摘要: Flavonoids are major dietary constituents of plant-based food found ubiquitously in plant kingdom where they usually present substantial amounts. Rutin is a flavonol-type polyphenol which consists the flavonol quercetin and disaccharide rutinose. has been reported to exert diverse biological effects such as antitumor antimicrobial mainly associated its antioxidant anti-inflammatory activities. Mental, neurological, behavioural disorders an important growing cause morbidity. Most these combine high prevalence, early onset, progressive clinical course, impairment critical brain functions making them contributor global disease burden. In work, vitro vivo potential therapeutic applications rutin neurodegenerative processes reviewed, well their bioavailability pharmacokinetics, essential for better understanding effectiveness. Moreover, review also provides overview molecular mechanisms through proposed neuroprotective effects.
