摘要: Anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) in the dog results osteophyte formation and morphologic, metabolic, biochemical, biomechanical changes articular cartilage of unstable knee that mimic those human osteoarthritis (OA). However, dogs studied up to 2 years after ACLT, have appeared be self-limiting, which has led suggestion this is a model damage repair, rather than OA. To ascertain whether subchondral bone subjected ACLT lead progressive OA, we 3 for 54 months ACLT. Arthrotomy was performed visualize then transect anterior ligament. When were killed, full-thickness ulceration seen on medial femoral condyle tibial plateau knee, while other regions thicker contralateral consistent with hypertrophic repair. Synovial infiltration by mononuclear cells not more severe killed at earlier intervals although gross fibrotic thickening capsule apparent each dog. Histomorphometric studies revealed marked increase volume active formation. These findings show develop canine joint are unambiguously
