摘要: The role that advanced traveler information systems (ATISs) are likely to play in alleviating traffic congestion is explored. impacts of and benefits from guidance based on instantaneous as well predictive assessed by developing an analytical formulation for a simple prototypical network. Previous research introducing day-to-day flow variability with both compliance market-penetration considerations reviewed, the case which varies within day developed. Two strategies determining route-guidance directives considered information. Also, integration ATIS control through open-loop coordination measures introduced, objective finding optimal signal maintain user equilibrium alternate routes. superiority maintaining validity mitigating potential adverse demonstrated.
