摘要: Increasing world population and standards of living are leading to increased resource use disposal. To sustain ourselves at these levels material comfort will require that our utilization resources becomes radically more efficient. One strategy for achieving greater efficiency is the recycling products back into useful raw materials. Efficient requires attention strategic design reverse production systems. In this paper, we present concepts issues surrounding system an initial formulation address some questions around its implementation. The as a mixed integer linear program utilize robust optimization framework. This framework poses objective minimization maximum deviation performance network from optimal under number different scenarios. We illustrate with example carpet recycling, which currently being undertaken on national scale in US. case study shows flexibility process technology recycle large fraction collected materials possible strong driver overall economic effectiveness
