摘要: Four children with tyrosinaemia type I received liver transplants. The metabolic disorder was corrected and all four had normal function on an unrestricted diet. Two children, transplanted at age five seven years, proved to have occult hepatocellular carcinoma both subsequently developed pulmonary metastases. One child well 32 months after removal of a single metastasis but the other died multiple two younger 19 21 months, were 28 44 operation, one second transplant. Our experience confirms high risk in this disease potential value early transplantation.
