摘要: The objective of this study is to review the literature on multidrug-resistant bacteria (MDRB) outbreaks in burn units according outbreak reports and intervention studies nosocomial infection statement. A PubMed search engine was enlisted identify reports, English French, MDRB units, with no date restrictions, using following key words: ("burn" OR "burns" "severe burn") AND ("unit" "critical care" "acute "intensive "center" "centre" "department") ("outbreak" "epidemic") ("resistant" "multidrug-resistant" "resistance" "MDR" "MDRO"). Twenty-nine articles such were analyzed. wide variety these studied terms microbial agents involved, length outbreak, attack rate (1.9-66.7%). most frequent methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus Acinetobacter baumannii. Screening staff revealed carrier rates 0 20% 16 studies. Environmental samples taken 21 positive 14 them. mortality among infected patients varied from 33%. Implementation isolation precautions did not always suffice, unit closure being necessary five outbreaks. lack consensus how manage highlighted. infections or colonizations are responsible for increased morbidity vulnerable patients. Their management problematic because multifactorial transmission limited therapeutic possibilities.
