摘要: Traditional herbal remedies are used as alternative medicine by a large proportion of people worldwide. Herbals generally perceived safe, harmless, and free from side effects, but there have been reports adulteration Asian with Western pharmaceuticals, practice that has not hitherto observed in Africa. The authors present 2 cases South Africa which remedies, consumed patients admitted to hospital, were found be adulterated commercially available medicines. adulterants identified using high-performance liquid chromatography photodiode array detector gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. alert clinicians the fact may become more common should considered, especially where symptoms confusing light history.
