Service users' experiences of a therapeutic group programme in an acute psychiatric inpatient unit.

摘要: Psychiatric nurses have been facilitating therapeutic groups in acute psychiatric inpatient units for many years; however, there is a lack of nursing research related to this important aspect care. This paper reports the findings study which aimed gain an understanding service users' experiences relation group activities unit. A qualitative descriptive was undertaken with eight users one unit Ireland. Data were collected using in-depth semi-structured interviews and analysed Burnard's method thematic content analysis. Several themes emerged from are presented paper.
