摘要: This article examines the history, current conditions, and future possibilities of psychiatric inpatient group psychotherapy. Attention is directed toward exploring purpose, structure, theoretical perspectives, empirical research therapy. Trends in care are contextualized within a historical perspective politics care. Future challenges to viability groups, including fiscal pressures, high patient acuity, shorter stays, pressures for evidence-based practices, considered.
