Efficient Use of Multicast and Unicast in Collaborative OFDMA Mobile Cluster

摘要: Future wireless services induces higher demands for the circuits of mobile terminals, which will subsequently increase energy usage and hence limit users' abilities to experience high quality multimedia offered by data rate systems. In order address this problem, we advocate a model called collaborative cluster (CMC), that is foreseen as one potential solutions reduce consumption per terminal in network enabling collaboration within terminals. We first compare efficiency performance unicast multicast transmission strategies CMC. addition, propose an algorithm can dynamically use additional support multicast, ultimately overcoming inherent drawbacks sole multicast. Analytical results are derived illustrated simulations. The analysis demonstrates that: i) CMC enables great per-terminal consumption; ii) transmissions two optional candidates, but proper combination them allows better saving gain while still fulfilling minimum requirement.
