摘要: Hepatoprotective effects of Rheum emodi roots and their aqueous methanolic extracts were studied against liver damage induced by paracetamol in albino rats. In addition, the herbal preparation, Akseer-eJigar a control drug, silymarin also studied. Pretreatment post-treatment hepatoprotective all these drugs determined. The prevention curative judged changes serum ALT, AST, ALP, albumin bilirubin (total direct) levels. Powdered (1 1.5 g/kg) extract did not significantly affect enzymes, However, treatment with powder (2 g/kg), (0.6 Akseer-e-Jigar (50 mg/kg) both pre studies prevented paracetamol-induced rise enzymes levels whereas was raised after drugs. It is conceivable, therefore, that possess principles can prevent and/or treat due to paracetamol. study has supported empirical use plant its compound preparation used traditional medicine.
