摘要: The plants are micro-biosynthetic factories for variety of compounds which their secondary metabolites. These mainly include alkaloids, glycosides, flavonoids, volatile oils, saponins, etc. medicinal properties attributed to the specific bioactive compound or combination phytochemicals. In present study, Phytochemical analysis two Rheum species namely, spiciforme and webbianum was carried out using different plant parts from wild populations also tissue culture raised derived these populations. Anthraquinone derivatives including emodin, aloe-emodin rhein quantified in analysed HPLC method a comparative done. analyzed samples showed presence various carbohydrates, proteins tannins. Furthermore, spp. shown contain as main active principles. Among R. maximum yield Rhein detected Chakwali population while amount emodin found Dahi nala. Similarly, Panzila top Tangsti population. regenerants cultured very low compared both species. reported contents phytochemicals can be useful determination best chemotypes will significant future use pharmaceutical industries.
