Autobiographical memory in temporal lobe epilepsy: Role of hippocampal and temporal lateral structures

摘要: The present study was aimed at investigating the impact of hippocampal and temporal cortical lesions on remote autobiographical memories in lobe epilepsy (TLE). Episodic specificity, episodic richness, personal semantic memory from different life periods were assessed using a modified version Autobiographical Memory Interview (AMI) (M.D. Kopelman, A.E. Wilson, A. Baddeley, interview. Bury St. Edmunds: Thames Valley Test Co.; 1990) 47 patients with unilateral mesial or lateral TLE 38 healthy controls. Patients performed significantly more poorly than left right mTLE equally moderately impaired, but had most severe deficits, particularly for childhood memories. With respect to memory, impaired those TLE, pronounced Both aspects, intercorrelated, both did not correlate anterograde indicating structural dissociation between functions.
