摘要: Abstract To determine the relationship between plasma and arterial wall oxysterols, aortic tissue from 7 New Zealand White rabbits fed a high cholesterol (1%) diet for 6 weeks was compared to normocholesterolemic standard rabbit chow. Cholesterol oxide fractions were isolated analyzed by gas chromatography. Normocholesterolemic contained low levels of cholest-5-ene-3β,7α-diol, cholesta-3,5-dien-7-one, 5,6α-epoxy-5α-cholestan-3α-ol, cholest-5-ene-3β,7β-diol, 5α-cholestane-3β,5,6/gb-triol while hypercholesterolemic atherosclerotic aorta significantly higher (P
