摘要: The El Nino—Southern Oscillation (ENSO) cycle is modeled as a low-order chaotic process driven by the seasonal cycle. A simple model suggests that equatorial Pacific ocean-atmosphere oscillator can go into nonlinear resonance with and strong enough coupling between ocean atmosphere, system may become result of irregular jumping among different resonances. An analysis time series from an ENSO prediction consistent chaos mechanism.
