摘要: The problem of scattering in optical fibres is approached by means a ray theory and considering both the parameters that characterize each congruence. Starting from general transport equation two-variable diffusion derived its field validity discussed. Preliminary results (steadystate power distribution among congruences; steady-state attenuation length) are given some simple but common cases. These permit interesting comparisons with other theories.
