摘要: Abstract The term “dipole” implies a seesaw, inverse variations of an element at the extremities oscillationsystem. Southern Oscillation and North Atlantic are examples such mainly standing oscillations inpressure. By contrast, for sea surface temperature (SST) fields in tropical equatorialIndian Oceans, SST gradient was found to be closely associated with climatic anomalies, but there is no seesaw. Use dipole misleading.
