摘要: Emphysema often affects the lungs in a heterogeneous fashion, and collapse or removal of severely hyperinflated portions lung can improve overall function symptoms. The role volume reduction (LVR) surgery selected patients is well established, but that non-surgical LVR still being defined. In particular, use endobronchial under development. This case report describes 48-year-old non-smoker with severe bullous emphysema complicated by acute hypercapnic respiratory failure, who was successfully treated valve placement while intubated an intensive care unit.
