摘要: Background We developed the bilateral, axillo-breast approach (BABA) to endoscopic thyroidectomy and applied it da Vinci robotic surgical system in 2008. Herein, we have analyzed immediate postoperative outcomes 1-year follow-up results of BABA total with central node dissection (CND). Methods In 2008 2009, 109 patients PTC underwent CND. Clinicopathologic characteristics, short- long-term complications, thyroglobulin (Tg) level were obtained prospectively analyzed. Results The mean age was 39 ± 10 years male female ratio 1:5.8. operation time 206 36 minutes. Transient recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) palsy occurred 17 cases (16%) transient hypocalcemia 21 (19%). median 12 months. There 1 2 permanent RLN hypoparathyroidism, respectively. Postoperative radioactive iodine ablation performed on 54 (50%). Their stimulated Tg 1.84 6.35 ng/mL 76% had levels Conclusion Robotic CND yields good outcomes. Given excellent cosmetic outcomes, this technique may be a suitable operative alternative for low-risk PTC.
