摘要: Abstract Introduction The residual bone height in the posterior edentulous maxilla is frequently limited by maxillary sinuses. Sinus floor elevation (SFE) then considered to restore sufficient height. preoperative analysis of sinus necessary for success this surgery. Therefore, we investigated frequency anatomic variations and lesions using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials methods We retrospectively analysed all CBCTs performed at a private radiological center between January November 2014. following anatomical were assessed: ventilation, septa, totally compartmentalized, hypoplastic sinus, aplasia, prolapsed thickness anterolateral wall, position antral artery, mucosa thickening, opacity, polyps cysts. Results A total 300 images analyzed. findings consisted in: ventilation 91%, septa 34.66%, compartmentalized 6%, 5%, aplastic 0%, 1.66%, endorsed artery 53%, submucosa 43%, thickening 41%, opacity 4%, cysts 20.33%. average wall was about 1.16 ± 0.48 mm. Conclusion has great interindividual variability. highly beneficial structures relationships with any
