摘要: An attempt has been made to obtain information about the condition of pulp teeth, immediately below bony incision, in lateral antral wall radical antrotomy, and investigate conditions obtaining vascular supply that neighbourhood. The investigation two parts: (1) Experimental; (2) Clinical. Experimental.—(a) Injections specimens superior maxillae were with lipiodol, then X-rayed. These showed anastomoses along floor. (b) Sections floor cut stained show nerves blood spaces. (c) The external carotid artery was injected Prussian Blue maxilla removed. (d) Transverse sections teeth denervated their pulps examined. Clinical.—The patients who had submitted operation taken, examined by:— (a) Transillumination. (b) Percussion. (c) Thermal tests. (d) Faradic currents. (e) Radiography. From these investigations it appears are but not devitalized by trauma above apices. Their blood-supply is still present, probably comes through a collateral anastomosis, partly mucosa.
